Jonathan Bardolph, ACA, FCCA, BFP, BA (Hons)

Aesthetic Accountant

Jonathan is the Director of Accountably Ltd, an accountancy practice in Hampshire, in the South of England.

He has worked closely with aesthetic practitioners and clinics for over twenty years, developing a strong understanding of the financial, tax, and business issues specific to the sector. Jonathan has spoken, delivering insightful presentations on sector-relevant accounting issues, at events for the British Association of Medical Aesthetic Nurses (BAMAN), and at larger aesthetic conferences events like ACE and CCR, sharing practical guidance with both new and established practitioners. His history in medical aesthetic accounting is rooted in the experience of helping his own mother, a nurse, clinic owner, and one of the founders of the British Association of Cosmetic Nurses (BACN), since renamed BAMAN.

Clients seek out Jonathan because they want someone who will explain things clearly, answer questions properly, and help them feel less anxious about numbers; his work with Accountably gives smaller businesses a level of accountancy support they were not always receiving from larger firms, and he shares this same approach when delivering specialist training as a guest speaker for ABABA.

He has a hands-on, approachable way of working, offering professional experience and specialist knowledge on company accounts, tax planning, equipment purchasing, payroll and staffing, bookkeeping, business scaling, financial reviews and planning, plus the most misunderstood area of taxation in the aesthetic sector, VAT, including partial and full medical exemption.
