A Graduate Member of the British Psychological Society (BPS), Kimberley Cairns is a Psycho-Aesthetic Consultant and founder of Integrating Psycho Aesthetic Wellness in Practice (IPAW), supporting patients, practitioners, and organisations to make healthier, more informed treatment choices. She works across the UK and Europe collaborating with practitioners, clinic owners, multi-site operators, pharmacists, distributors, manufacturers, and educators.
Kimberley serves as a Trustee and patient advocate with the JCCP, where she also contributes to the Clinical Advisory Group, the Marketing & Communications Committee, and the Complaints Committee — ensuring governance, transparency, and lived experience are embedded into improving standards, quality and care in the interest of public benefit.
With over a decade of operational and management integration experience in aesthetics, Kimberley combines clinical psychology expertise with practical systems knowledge. Practising since 2009, she is known for embedding emotional intelligence, and inclusive practice into ethical service design, governance, and training. Her specialist interests include body image, neurodiversity and the LGBTQIA+ communities, where she champions equality, representation, and values-led care.
In 2025, Kimberley published Ready to Glow?: The Emotional Prep Behind Aesthetic Decisions (Kindle Edition), a psychologically informed guide that empowers individuals and practitioners to reflect on motivations, expectations, and emotional wellbeing before pursuing cosmetic change.
Through IPAW, Kimberley delivers:
- Strategic Growth with Emotional Intelligence — business development aligned with public trust, inclusive culture, and ethical care.
- Service Co-Design & Implementation — embedding emotional safety, safeguarding, and psychosocial impact into clinic operations.
- Policy, Governance & Licensing Readiness — frameworks to meet emerging regulation and prepare teams for licensing.
- Training & Mentorship — psychologically informed, trauma aware, neuroaffirmative education for medical and non-medical teams.
- Complex Case Consultation & Supervision — support for emotionally complex, high-stakes scenarios, patient suitability, and safeguarding pathways.
Kimberley’s published work, peer-reviewed contributions, and thought leadership have informed national discussions on competency frameworks, scope of practice, and ethical governance. She continues to advocate for emotionally attuned, inclusive, and transparent practice across the aesthetics and wellness sectors, bringing this depth of experience to delegates as a guest speaker for ABABA.
